White Wines 1997 Sauvignon Blanc, Estate Bottled, Mendocino, Bliss Vineyard Hints of green grass and grapefruit blend with subtle touches of earthy oak in the nose. Tropical fruit flavors to carry the senses off on gentle tropical breezes. Citrus highlights along with soft melon and pineapple. 1998 Sauvignon Blanc, Estate Bottled, Mendocino, Bliss Vineyard Long, cool stainless fermentation allowed the fruit from the east side of our Bliss Ranch Block #4 to retain the aromas of soft green grass and fresh lemon. Gentle French oak blends wonderfully with bright apple and grapefruit flavors. 1997 Chardonnay, Estate Bottled, Mendocino, Bliss Vineyard Soft apple and pear tones fit well with light creamy aromas of oak and vanilla. Rounded and viscous, carrying rich fruit in harmony with supporting oak flavors. Supple lemon, green apple and ripe melon hints lead with lactic richness for a soft, lingering finish. 1998 Chardonnay, Estate Bottled, Bliss Vineyard, Lot 169 This late harvested Chardonnay resulted in some very interesting fruit layered with Botrytized honey flavors, rich in oak, creamy vanilla, with crisp lemon highlights. Bella Lona, Bianco de Mendocino, Estate Bottled, NV A blend of Brutocao Cellar’s Estate-grown Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay and French Colombard. Starts out sweet with flavors of apples, ripe pears and melons. Finishes dry. Red Wines 1997 Merlot, Estate Bottled, Mendocino, UNFILTERED Revel in the flavors of ripe cherries, currants and black tea nestled in a firm bed of tannins and rich oak. With multiple small lots from both of our ranches, hand crafted attention allows us to define the character of Brutocao Merlot: complex and vibrant. 1998 Zinfandel, Estate Bottled, Mendocino, UNFILTERED & UNFINED A greeting nose of rich blackberry, spice and gentle smoky oak. Aromas show a bias towards fruit over jammy ripeness. Raspberry flavors layered in oak and firm tannins that do not get in the way of bright fruit create a beautiful balance of vivid varietal character with rich strength. 1997 Cabernet Sauvignon, Estate Bottled, Mendocino, Bliss Vineyard, UNFILTERED Aromas of ripe plum, cedar, mineral and tobacco blend with supple oak to convey the essence of the Brutocao Cabernet. Chocolate hints, ripe berry fruit, currants and coffee flavors are complemented with sweet oak and dense tannins that offer a rich, full mouthfeel. Cabernet strength that provides a long finish without the "harsh" tannin structure often encountered in wines this young. 1998 Pinot Noir, Estate Bottled, Feliz Ranch, Block #54, UNFILTERED This new release greets the nose with aromas of blackberry, spice and sweet tobacco. Flavors of bright cherry fruit, hints of licorice and gentle oak balance nicely with moderate tannin structure. A surprisingly fruit-driven and subtle inland Pinot Noir. Bella Lona Schoolhouse Red, Estate Bottled, Mendocino, NV A blend of Zinfandel, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon. Reminiscent of Chianti. Layers of ripe fruit flavors, rich earth tones and smoky oak.
