We're ready for adventure! Are you?

Bob Stephens---Captain and Co-owner:        Alaskan Licensed captain for yachts

Bob is an avid boating enthusiast and is a 200-ton Coast Guard Licensed Captain.  He has plied the waters of Alaska, the San Juan’s Islands, Puget Sound and several trips in the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans during the past twenty years and has skippered catamarans, sailboats, and yachts to complement his nautical achievements.  As well as constructed a 42 ft. sail boat from the bare hull.

 Bob was also a U.S. Air Force Navigator and accumulated over 5000 hours of worldwide navigation in both C124s and C141 aircraft. He has traveled throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, South America, the South Pacific Islands and the Artic Circle to complement his nautical achievements.

 This will be Bob’s 13th year plying the waters between Seattle and Alaska via the Inside Passage guaranteeing guests a seasoned and knowledgeable Captain.  

Penni Manns - Co-Owner

Penni Manns designed the luxury Cladonia Yacht offering Alaskan fishing tours, guided tours viewing Alaskan wildlifePenni is a true connoisseur of hospitality with twenty-five years of previous success in the Bed and Breakfast industry.  She owned and operated four extended-stay Bed and Breakfasts Seattle Guest House, where her warm and vivacious personality was a highlight of guests. They could tell you of many warm experiences: shared conversations, with over a cup of tea, freshly baked cookies left on the counter, flowers placed on the nightstand, and an open-hearted family-like atmosphere.

 In addition to being a sailing enthusiast with experiences in Puget Sound and Alaskan waters, this is Penni’s thirteenth season of traveling the Inside Passage.  Her background in the hospitality industry assures guests a highly relaxing and most memorable cruise.

 Penni was Art Coordinator and Director for the Boeing Airplane Company for over seventeen years.  Her innate design talent has transformed the Caledonia into modern luxury motor yacht for your chartering pleasure in SE Alaska and the Northwest.  Penni has a love of life and a desire to share it with you.

Bob Stephens - Captain

Bob is an avid boating enthusiast and 200 ton Coast Guard Licensed captain. He has plied the waters of Alaska, the San Juan Islands, Virgin Islands and Puget Sound for over 15 years and has skippered catamarans, sail boats, and yachts as well as constructed a 42 foot sailboat from the hull up. To complement his nautical achievements, Bob is also an accomplished aviator. A former USAF Captain with a Navigator rating with over 5000 hours of world wide navigation on both c124s and c141 aircraft he has traveled throughout the United States, Europe, Asia, South America, the South Pacific Islands, and the Arctic Circle.

         Ray Staska                                                                                                                  

  • Ray has spent the past few seasons as a Naturalist and Guide for Alaska Nature Tours in Haines, Alaska. His specialty involves viewing and photographing Bald Eagles and coastal Brown Bears ... up close and personal! Ray has been a co-captain and fishing guide on luxury yachts which cruise the inside waters of northern Southeast Alaska, exploring the bays and inlets of Admirality island and numerous other islands comprising the best scenery and wildlife to be found in the Tongass National Forest. Prior to these seasons of fun and adventure, Ray completed an enviable 20 year career as a Fisheries Biologist with Alaska Department of Fish and Game. His work involved surveys in state vessels and super cub aircraft throughout the Juneau and Haines districts. With 36-years of Alaskan experience, it would be Ray's pleasure to satisfy your curiosity about the fish, wildlife and natural world of this beautiful area of Alaska wilderness.

    Laszlo I. Navradszky                                                                                              

    Laszlo is a USCG licensed Master with over thirty years of boating experience.  Most of it on the west coast from Washington to California, Mexico, and B.C. waters, as well as limited Florida and New York coastal areas.  The majority of his experience is on open waters in largish sailboats.  Powerboat experience was on deep-sea pleasure fishing boats, and oil-skimming vessels.

    The captain is a retired US Naval officer, who lives on a sailboat for over 25 years, loves adventure on the oceans.  He is a pilot, scuba diver and parachutist.  His greatest achievement is the success of his two daughters  (the older is also a captain while the younger is a Third Mate on container ships).

    Laszlo’s motto is: “to provide a fun-filled adventure, consistent with safety and prudent seamanship.”  He likes to teach and involve guests in the mystical world of mariners.

Guide:  Richard Austin

 

Fishing Guide,Co-Captain and Home Grown Naturalist. This three in one Alaska Native American spent his college years in the lower 48. He was born and raised in Kake on Kupreanof Island.  He has fished with his Grandfather since he was 3 years old.  Richard knows where to find you the trophy sized King and Halibut, or anything that swims!  You are assured to home with more than anticipated.
