The trip from Seattle to Sitka was absolutely magical. The splendid scenery--the graceful Caledonia, the water, the dolphins, the fish, the whales, the great villages. All amidst the amazing hospitality of Penni and Bob, the incredibly fabulous meals by the talented Chef Bud and Heather's quiet Ðbut ever presence and new friends. It was all magical. Our thanks and great appreciation for all.

Captain Bob--

We came all the way from New York to see Alaska and we did--- In the Grand Style--Whales, sea lions, porpoises, and pippins appeared on command. Blue/green icebergs calved before our very eyes, and hot springs steamed next to raging icy torrents.

With Buddy's cleaver coaxing, king salmon seemed to leap up on the deck, with his skillful carving (learned from his pappy, we hear); it became the world's freshest Sashimi-- And he clearly sweat talked the spotted shrimp into the pots.

Heather worked her magic three times a day--coaxing every bit of sweetness from those shrimp presenting scallops in a sea of tequila and lime and flooring us with banana-chocolate crepes, we will savor for years the ultimate luxury of Heather's salmon omelets.

Beyond all the expeditions --attention to our every need (Barry) always manning the fantabulous coffee maker and creature comforts, we basked in a week of good fellowship and good cheer !!!!

In every aspect of the trip--seamanship, creature comforts and charm--the Caledonia reflects your leadership and style. Thank you for showing us "Your Alaska".
